Construction Oversight
After all of the elements are in place to build the golf course, the construction process begins. The job of John Fought Design (JFD) during this process is to ensure the contract documents are followed and the appropriate approvals are provided at the proper intervals to keep the project on budget and on time. As the process moves forward, JFD will review the contractor’s work and his monthly draw requests.
As with all construction projects, we have found that we need to visit site at least three times a month to ensure the success of the golf elements. Our projects always come in on time and on budget, and we believe this is due to our intimate knowledge of the process and our attention to detail during the construction process.
JFD also returns to review the completed course during the first few years. The finished golf course must be reviewed during the grow-in and warranty period.
